A group dedicated and in memoriam to the true blue Sonic of the 90's! The Blue Blur! The Fastest Thing Alive! The Dude with the 'tude!; Sonic the Hedgehog!
1991-1998 R.I.P...
This group focuses around the work Sega of America (SoA) put into their creation while making the Sonic the Hedgehog series. And to hope to bring it all back from the dead!
Sonic the Hedgehog™, Sega's blue dude with a 'tude, debuted in the original game Sonic the Hedgehog™ for the SEGA Genesis™ system in June of 1991. That game was the beginning of many long struggles between Sonic and his arch enemy, Dr. Ivo Robotnik™, a mad scientist who snatches innocent animals and turns them into evil robots.
If you're not too familiar with Sonic, he's the hero of Mobius™, a very peaceful world. He's especially known for his quick wit, and fast feet. Whenever Mobius is threatened, Sonic's the hedgehog to call.
The second incredible game in the world of Sonic was Sonic the Hedgehog 2™, which introduced Miles "Tails" Power, the fox. Tails is Sonic's friend and likes to be just like Sonic. He always tries to keep up with him, but sometimes Sonic is too super fast. Whenever Sonic bursts into super speed and takes off, Tails whirls his two tails like a helicopter and takes off flying after him. One of the coolest things about Sonic 2 was that you could play as either Sonic or Tails, and even play against your friends in split-screen 2-player mode.
Another famous character in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog™, is Knuckles the Echidna™, who is strong, athletic and clever. Knuckles first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 3™. Dr. Robotnik, the ever-present trouble-maker, tricked Knuckles into thinking that Sonic and Tails were the ones trying to steal the emeralds, when of course, it was really Robotnik himself. Knuckles believed Robotnik's lies, and spent most of his time blocking Sonic's path, creating extra obstacles, setting traps and trying to steal Sonic's gold rings. Bet you didn't know that Knuckles' favorite food is fruit (especially grapes).
